Club Penguin Membership

Membership allows penguins to access more features within the game. By default, penguins have limited access to features on the island, but penguins with membership have unlimited access to features on our island (clothing, member-only stamps, member-only party rooms, 75 puffles, and many more additional features with membership). If a penguin has membership, they are referred to as “members”, whereas players that don’t have membership are referred to as non-members.

A membership could be purchased in several ways. A penguin could purchase membership on Club Penguin’s website (online), by using a credit/debit card, or via PayPal. Another way of purchasing membership is going to a retailer (store – for example; Argos, Asda, Target). Once you go to a retailer, you could purchase membership as a membership card.

Membership Badges

Once a penguin becomes a member, they will have a membership badge at the top, left corner of their player card. The look of the badge changes depending on how long the penguin is a member for. The longer the membership lasts, the higher the membership badge’s rank will be.

Badge Level 1: 0-6 Months = standard member badge

Facts/Trivia

  • In November 2011, there was a glitch where everyone had a Level 5 Member Badge. However, they did not have any membership privileges, and they couldn’t see the badge themselves. This glitch was fixed around late February to early March 2012.
  • On July 13, 2011, Club Penguin increased the cost of membership prices.
  • Membership costs different on the Club Penguin app than the membership price on Club Penguin’s website (online).
  • If penguins bought a 12 months members between December 13, 2012 and January 2, 2013, they could get a bonus Holiday Party Pack, including the code for “Cool In The Cold” and 5,000 coins!
  • There was a 18 month membership that was on sale, during the Holiday Party of 2012.
